I just picked Peter, Cooper, and Phoebe up from a karaoke night with most of the youth in our ward. They all gathered in the basement of one of the families and sang their hearts out. It took thirty minutes from when I arrived to when I finally was able to get them to leave because they insisted there were more songs they needed to sing. Right at the end someone started You Are Not Alone from Dear Evan Hansen. Most of the kids stood in a half circle around the screen, holding hands, and singing words of encouragement to each other.
Tonight I'm thankful for a small ward and a good group of friends for my kids.

I teared up reading this. It makes me so happy for you and your family after the isolation of the last few years.
