After we finished at the Temple on Saturday, we drove the big kids over an hour to go roller skating with the other youth from our Stake. Cooper, Phoebe, and Sophie were all pretty shaky to begin, but they got the hang of it. They all found kids they knew so they had someone to roll with. Phoebe had so much fun that she now wants her own skates.
The rink was an hour from our house, so there wasn't time to go home and come back. While the others skated, Bryan, Topher, and I went out to lunch. Topher doesn't usually get that kind of one-on-one time with us, so it was a fun alternative activity, since he wasn't old enough to join the skating.

I love to roller skate. I bought my first shoe skates when I was about 12 years old and paid $12 for them. I can roller skate backwards, dance, skate fast or waltz tempo. However, my skating is now only in my head and I miss it.
