Freezer Burn

Last night and part of this morning were rough, but we all seem to be feeling better. Peter had the bug the worst, then Cooper, then me. Bryan seems to have escaped unharmed and was sweet enough to stay home from work this morning to take care of us.

Cooper's main symptom was a high fever, which is always a little scary. We administered Infant Motrin and then brainstormed about what else we could do to bring his fever down. Bryan had made some white grape juice popsicles for Peter the night before so we figured now was as good a time as any to give Cooper his first taste of some icy goodness.

It didn't work quite the way thought it would.

I promise he's okay, but he clearly was not a fan.

Hey I got your facebook note. I don't have facebook at work, though, and I don't have an email for you.
Dixon has a lot of internal politics. Most schools do, but from my experience Dixon is worse than most. The principal is really a control freak and she has certain things she likes to see your you're out with no warning. Your SIL might want to consider that before applying.
If she is still interested in the job, she needs to talk about the state core curriculum, planning with the end in mind, and having a content objective for every lesson/unit plan.
She will most likely be asked to teach a lesson. If she does, she needs to state her content/language objective at the start of the lesson and to tie everything back together to that objective at the end. That and she should smile and nod a lot and say "that's a great idea" whenever she brings up a new idea.
Good luck to her from me!
