Hip To Be Square
Remember this? My friend exhibited an amazing amount of patience today and taught me some new crochet stitches and how to read a crochet pattern (I'm not even sure it was in English).
And look what I made!
It might be a crochet basic and I know it's not perfect, but I'm thoroughly impressed with myself.

good job! you could just keep making it bigger and bigger until it's a blanket. :)
Congrats! I still can't read patterns, myself. I just learn a new stitch and make something using that one stitch (or a pattern of alternating stitches). Keep practicing!
It turned out so nice. You could make a whole bunch and put them together to make a nice afghan or a vest like sweater. Great job!
