Today was perfect.
Last Friday was spent cleaning due to dinner guests that night and weekend company the next day. Somehow the house survived relatively well, so we didn't need to do much to maintain it today. No chores equals mellow kids. Mellow kids equals relaxed parents.
The boys didn't have school today and Bryan opted to take the day off as well. It was extremely cold outside, so we didn't even attempt going anywhere. Instead, we stayed inside, read books, watched movies, played video games, snuggled, and ate leftovers.
Really, it was a very lazy day, but it was more than that. It was safe and happy and had more kind words and obedient children than not.
Like I said, perfect.
