Topher attended a birthday party at a karate studio on Saturday. He loved all the kicking and blocking and general roughhousing that went on. And now he's asking to take karate lessons. I'm pretty sure that's the reason the studio offers birthday parties: it brings in extra money and it provides advertising to all the guests.
