Bros

I looked over the other day to see all three boys standing in my bedroom doorway, hugging. So, of course, I took a picture.

The Daily Soundtrack

A few weeks ago a friend asked for Spotify playlist recommendations for primary music. I had to respond that I don't use Spotify, so I didn't have anything to recommend. The follow-up question: did I have a playlist from any app for primary music? I sent a screenshot of the church library music app and said that was the best I could do.

After that exchange I pondered why I don't listen to much music. Music is so important to me, was I just forgetting songs that we listen to? Then I realized, my kids make music so often, I don't need to go find any. Someone is usually singing or playing an instrument or blasting their own playlist. I texted my friend this realization, then went on with my day.

On Sunday after church, I walked into the library to witness a great example of what I meant. Cooper and Topher are not intentionally playing music together. They're just both playing their own music at the same time in the same room.

So of course I had to record it.

Hats On

Cooper was generous enough to let Topher borrow his cowboy hat for silly hat day at school. It made Topher's day.

Home Again, Home Again

Bryan flew out to Utah on Sunday and spent most of the week driving home with Peter. They arrived just before 3:00 this morning.

Topher is especially happy that they're home.

Love Notes

I helped the boys deep clean their room yesterday. We found these love notes from Topher to Cooper. Topher is such an affectionate little guy. He loves writing notes and giving gifts.

Fortified

I came home from an errand this morning and found both boys hanging out in this blanket fort.

Topher is easy to find, can you locate Cooper's feet?

Bus Stop Dance Party

In addition to dancing, they rocked out with air guitar and pantomimed drums while we waited to get Phoebe from the bus stop.

Brotherly Love

"Cooper, will you help me study the gospel?"

Digital Building

The kids all go back to school today. The only person that was ready was Topher. The rest of us could have used a few more days off. We were all so tired over the break that we had way more screen time than usual. That included this brother round of Minecraft. Topher was completely delighted to be included; his laughter could be heard all over the house.

Off to Oz

Cooper had his theatre debut this weekend. He and Peter were in their high school production of Choose Your Own Oz, an audience participation version of The Wizard of Oz. Peter played Uncle Henry and they were both trees. Yes, that's right, trees. They got to throw apples. In this version they threw them at the Wicked Witch instead of Dorothy. Peter got a big laugh as the slow-talking Uncle Henry. We went on opening night and watched their performances.

Peter is already looking forward to being part of the spring musical. Cooper has decided this will be both his first and last acting experience. I guess being a tree was all he needed.

Great job guys!

Similar, But Not the Same

Google finally learned that Peter and Topher are two different people!

Big Brothers

I wrote that Peter and Cooper are off at FSY this week. I failed to mention that Topher got up early so he could hug them before they left. He's really missed them the last few days.

Not Triplets

Yesterday I shared a picture of my mom and her brother. Today I'm sharing a picture of me and two of my three brothers. This is me at age 5, Jordan at 2.5, and Ian at 4. Because Jordan was tall and Ian and I are so close in age, people used to think we were triplets.

Who Will You Be Today?

Last week I learned that Peter hasn't grown too old for wearing costumes around the house, just for the fun of it.

The next day I found out Cooper hasn't either.
