A word of advice: the next time you go to have your long hair trimmed, make sure the person holding the scissors understands how short you want to go. Otherwise the four inches you meant to remove will turn into seven.
You may be shocked when you see the final result.
And your five-old might say, "It's okay Mom, hair grows back."

Your comment reminds me of one your grandmother Lucy made. She told me to take a little off of the end and when she saw it in the mirror she said I took it off of the wrong end.
