Over the past two weeks a specific thought has been floating through my conscience: I'm so glad we're not moving right now. This time last year we were knee-deep in boxes and thankful that we had found a place to live.
I just re-read the posts that I wrote around the time that we moved last year (it was fun, I'm quite humorous). It's hard to believe we've been here a year already. And it makes me wonder where we'll be a year from now. Bryan and I like it here, and we don't love moving, but our lease is up in March, so our future living arrangements depend on whether our landlord decides to raise our rent or leave it where it is.
The best thing about living here? It's a tie between having a house big enough for our family to come stay with us when they're in town and the garage. I really love the garage.
Hurray for not moving during Thanksgiving this year!

and hurray for random musical lyrics! :D (I now have that song running through my head)
I totally feel you on being grateful for not moving. In the past year we've moved 3 times, one being an out of state move. And, we're going to move again at the end of March (now that we've been here for a little bit, we know where we want to live and where we don't). Soooo not looking forward to that.
My goal is to find some place that we can stay put for a while. I hope, for your sake, that your landlord doesn't raise the rent!
Hurray is right! I feel the pain. We don't know where we are going to be in a year. Arnold is going to be working like crazy and with 2 hours of unnecessary travel time in the mornings alone, we might have to move yet again just so we can see him. (he's currently gone from 8am to 10pm and they are going to get busier I think)
So we have done 2006 to Texas, 2008 to germany, 2009 to the basement, and possibly 2010 to our own place. Yikes! All good but still...
Yea, I hope you stay there for a bit and that your rent doesn't get raised. Good luck!
