The Final Frontier

During our Thanksgiving trip to the Nation's capitol we had hoped to visit the National Air and Space Museum, but had run out of time. Last Friday we had a few hours between arriving in DC and when we needed to meet Bryan's brother for dinner, so we put them to good use and saw lots of air and space artifacts. I was focused on not losing my children in that very crowded museum, so I didn't take many pictures.

Very little is blooming in New Jersey, so it was lovely to see blossoms on the trees in DC.

Phoebe loved all of the racing trophies the museum had on display and requested to have her picture taken near several of them.

Peter tried to explain to us that the real Enterprise was a space ship on a TV show.

Bryan did his best to convince Peter that this Enterprise was not fictional.

The kids were appropriately impressed that this module had actually been in space.

Sophie loves dogs...at a distance. She was concerned about this dog in the navigation display until she realized that he didn't move. After that she was just puzzled.

See the skinny thing in the background? That's the Washington Monument.
