Open Invitation

Sophie has been asking to sleep on the floor the last few nights. At this stage in my parenting journey I acknowledge that kids do weird stuff sometimes and I don't always question it. We would tuck her in with a pillow and a blanket on the floor by her bed, then move her once she was asleep.

Last night I finally asked why she wanted to sleep on the floor. She said it was so if during the night I wanted to come snuggle with her, I could. She reminded me that I couldn't sleep on her little bed, because I would break it. The floor was the next best option.

I guess it's time to look for a big bed...
