The Skills

Tonight at bedtime Sophie, while lying in bed and tucked under her blanket, wrapped her arms around her precious red panda Adele and said, "Mmmm, I love you Delly." Then, in a hushed whisper, she said, "I love you Mommy."

I smiled at her and whispered back, "I love you too."

She looked surprised and asked, "How did you hear me? Is it because you have the skills?"

"Yes," I said, "it's because I have the skills."
