We're celebrating Independence Day by having the kids wear shirts they colored on. That's right, I put fabric markers into the hands of my children. They experienced freedom from a mom trying to preserve their clothing. They sure are a crafty bunch.
Peter designed his shirt after seeing what everyone else had done. He pointed out all the elements that he had gotten from his siblings and me and then showed me the things that were from his own brain.
Cooper came up with the start-within-a-star idea. He also added a firework at the bottom all on his own.
Phoebe liked the idea of painting her shirt until it came time to do it, then she gave me instructions as I carried out her plan.
Sophie was napping while we did this project, so I had creative control over her shirt.
