Sometimes

Sometimes your kids will have to go to sleep late because the Cub Scout Pack Meeting starts at bedtime. And sometimes your kids will decide they don't want to sleep, even though it's late and they're clearly tired. And sometimes they'll keep each other awake until 11pm and then wake up the baby, who will then require an additional forty minutes to get back to sleep. And sometimes you'll be so exhausted from this sleep-deprivation-craziness that all you'll be able to write on your blog is that no one is getting enough sleep.

Sometimes.

NOOOOOO!! what is it with kids not going to sleep? I feel your frustration. We had to take all of the toys out of Nathan's room but just couldn't take all of the books out; We'd have nowhere to put them because all of the toys are filling up any extra space we have. We tried to make his room so dark he couldn't read, but with summer light sneaking in for longer stretches in the evening that's just hard. When it is dark he will tell stories or sing to his stuffed dog, LOUDLY! We stick to an early bedtime because no matter what time he falls asleep he will still wake up around 5:30 or 6 (even if he doesn't fall asleep until 10)! I'm sorry things are crazy for you guys too.
